Meet The Photographer

It all started when…

My amazing Mom gifted me my very first camera (Canon Rebel) Christmas morning, 2012. Growing up I had always loved going to Books-A-Million and begging my parents to buy me all the nature picture books. Most of the time the begging worked… most of the time! Every day after school I would take my camera out in the backyard or around the neighborhood and take pictures of whatever I thought was cool or whatever I could get creative with. A few months after having my new camera a snapped a picture of a sun flare through some branches in my backyard, I saw online that the Yieser Art Center (YAC) was having a photo contest. Well of course I wanted to enter my photo… I GOT IN AND MY WORK WAS DISPLAYED IN THE GALLERY! It was what started my whole journey. I can’t thank my Mom enough for gifting me that camera, she changed my life!

For the next 7 years I used this time to really build a portfolio and learn my camera and lenses. I upgraded my Canon Rebel to a Canon 70D and also bought better lenses. Slowly but surly I was getting to my goals!

fast forward to 2019…

I meet my amazing and kind husband! Truly the best man I have ever met! He is my biggest support system and my biggest cheerleader. He comes with me to almost all of my appointments to help me with equipment and holding bags. Somehow he always knows what lens I’m going for next, I think he might love me a little… just a little haha! We got married in 2021, then had our sweet miracle girt Hattie, in 2022. She is our greatest accomplishment and our biggest blessing.

My sweet family! Austin, Hattie, and Myself

Hattie is a NICU baby so this is why in some photos she has some tubes!

I am (and my husband) are lovers of all animals! Any opportunity we get to pet, snuggle, love on any animal we take it!! We have two dachshunds; Sammy and Piper. They love love love their little sister and protect her at all costs! If you want to bring an animal to your session we will never say no, we are all for that!

We are also FOODIES. Before every vacation I always research the good restaurants and hole in the wall restaurants! If you don’t already do this you totally should, it’s fun and gets you prepared for your trip. And me being me, I’m OBSESSED with Crumbl Cookies! So everywhere we go I google search where the closest one is HA! I can’t wait for the Paducah location to open!

Milkshake: The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar Gatlinburg
